 A card that sat on the television
From a certain person
It was to celebrate Fathers Day 
In that country it was held in high esteem
That special day that if you sent a card
You were someone special
And the others that did not send one
Well they were considered like misfits
Unwanted, not wanted near to them
How well does she know that feeling
The one that always felt left out
In spite of the fact
That she gave everything that she was
Everything she was to that house
And that family
Its a vague memory now
She has liberated herself
Freed herself from that particular date
She allows the feeling to be there
Then poof it just goes away
Cos she is not giving the attention it wants
Playing into the past
Will only cause shadows to be overcast
Really and truly giving past thoughts that power
Only sadness and sorrow will you procure
Its time to set yourself free
Its time to let yourself space and let yourself be
